Abstract
In this paper, high-frequency (HF) three-phase dual active bridge (DAB) dc/dc converter in wye-delta connection is characterized and the optimal condition in efficiency and size of the practical application is investigated. The proposed topology has many advantages, such as linear operation and wide range of full ZVS operation region which have been the major restrictions of the existing single-phase DAB applications. This new approach is applied to a 10kW DAB dc/dc converter prototype with multiple outputs to mitigate the switching losses using newly introduced 1200V SiC MOSFET and 1200V JBS Diodes.
