Abstract :
This paper compares the performance of the predistortion and postdistortion compensation techniques in the context of a radio-over-fiber link. The results show that postdistortion offers more advantages than predistortion, and hence it is proposed for direct laser modulation in cellular radio-over-fiber applications. Mathematical analysis has been verified with results from simulation studies.
