  • Abstract
    After the “infant mortality” period, high-voltage potential transformers usually have an extended service life. Due to aging of the insulation, their failures can cause serious system operating problems. Periodic on-line monitoring of the transformer ratio and partial discharge activity could be a good solution in forecasting and preventing such failures
