Abstract :
A precise measurement system with very simple electrodes for non-contacting measurement of dielectric characteristics of liquids has been developed. This forms a cross capacitor based on the Thompson-Lampard theorem. Over a temperature range of 25-100/spl deg/C, the dielectric constants can be precisely measured with uncertainty less than /spl plusmn/0.02-0.05%.
