Abstract
A method associating different schemes of Finite Difference Time Domain (F.D.T.D.) numerical models has been developed. The problems involving complex, electrically large, three-dimensional structures, combined with complex, but electrically small, three-dimensional elements, cannot be resolved accurately with a traditional F.D.T.D. approach. This paper´s aim is to demonstrate that this new numerical technique improves the accuracy. In the calculation domain, this method associates F.D.T.D.´s of different discretizations and several orders. It provides highly accurate predictions for a wide variety of electromagnetic wave interaction problems. Some applications, the Radar Cross Section of complex objects and the directivity of antennas, will be presented.
