Abstract :
Waveguide components of complex geometry are analyzed using two field theoretical analysis methods. The method of lines (MoL) is employed for the angular parts whereas round elements are investigated by the generalized multipole technique (GMT). Using this new approach the frequency response and the field distribution of a full-band matched 180° E-plane bend in a rectangular waveguide are computed numerically.
