Abstract
In this paper, we introduce a temporal approach for assessing the reliability of systems with components that are subject to change their conditions over time. Such changes could be due to poor working conditions, improper maintenance, or any unexpected malformations throughout the system´s useful life. This approach is mainly based on adopting time-dependent reliability functions for assessing condition-based reliability. Our approach can be applied to common situations where the failure rates of the system components have dissimilar distributions.
