Abstract
In this paper, the diversity and MIMO performance of a high port to port isolation WLAN dual-band 2.4-2.5 GHz and 5.15-5.825 GHz antenna system is presented. The high isolation of this system is obtained by the insertion of an optimized parasitic element between the two closely-spaced radiating elements. The diversity and MIMO performance of this system are evaluated by using the statistical Gaussian model in indoor environment and the real environment data base tool of university of Helsinki called MEBAT.
