Abstract :
Preparations are underway for an absolute frequency measurement of the NPL strontium ion trap optical frequency standard relative to a transportable methane-stabilized infrared frequency standard. The chain exploits the high non-linear conversion efficiency obtained with PPLN and improved diode laser local oscillators at intermediate frequencies.
