Abstract
This paper serves to illustrate the sensitivity of the game theoretic approach to the choice of utility functions. The paper develops several seemingly rational utility functions which result in significantly different network characteristics. The paper also shows that while such an approach may increase utility, measures of communication performance may actually worsen
