Abstract :
A broadband dual-frequency antenna and a broadband dual-polarized antenna are proposed for GSM/3G/LTE mobile communication base stations. Both dual-frequency and dual-polarized antennas have a planar configuration. The dual-frequency antenna achieves a bandwidth of ~21% (800-990 MHz) for the lower-frequency band and ~68% (1.35-2.74 GHz) for the higher-frequency band. The broadband dual-polarized planar antenna has a bandwidth of ~45.5% (1.7-2.7 GHz). Two antenna arrays for the broadband dual-frequency and dual-polarized antennas are developed.
