Abstract :
A longitudinal slot for standing-wave and traveling-wave excitation on a rectangular coaxial line is analyzed here. The slot is excited by using a metal support for the inner conductor of the coaxial line. The slot for the standing-wave excitation is represented by a T-network circuit model. Reflection of the slot for the traveling-wave excitation is suppressed by using an additional support and a capacitive wall.
