Abstract :
A simplified fuzzy rule-based was proposed for use in microprocessor based HVAC zone controllers, while a supervising fuzzy rule-based controller was outlined to increase their performance and adapt them to new environments by adjusting the estimated control percentages of an experienced operator used in the simplified controller. The results show increased performance of the controller in a simulated environment while avoiding the use of negative percentage output to achieve it.
