Abstract :
The authors attempt to develop a nonlinear predictive control scheme for a polymerisation reactor, based on a nonlinear neural predictive model of the plant. The paper introduces the polymerisation reactor, describes a nonlinear predictor that acts as a Smith predictor to remove a measurement delay, and discusses the development of a platform to allow for the online implementation of neural network based predictive controllers.
