Deploying a System-wide Requirements Process within a Commercial Engineering Organization

As the market of a commercial organization matures, the importance of a comprehensive requirements process increases. A system-wide requirements process developed for the defense industry may not be applicable to a commercial organization. This paper describes Teradyne´s deployment of a system-wide requirements process. It examines issues that would be common to any commercial organization deploying such a process as well as concerns specific to Teradyne. The paper describes the solution Teradyne put in place and reports preliminary results.
