Abstract :
Channel estimation plays an important role in CDMA systems. The main obstacles to channel estimation accuracy are the time variant character of the channel and noises at the receiver. When linear interpolation channel estimation algorithm is employed, these two factors are always contradictory to each other. In this paper, for the same interpolation density, this compromise is analyzed by comparing CDMA system performance with different SF (spreading factor) at various velocities. Simulation results show that because of the compromise between those two factors, for a given velocity, there is always an optimum SF.
