Abstract :
A deterministic node mobility model using Logistics map for mobile Ad Hoc wireless network is presented. Unlike conventional entity mobility models that realize probability distributions in stochastic processes, this paper presents a new deterministic classification of a source of randomness in Ad Hoc mobility movement patterns through the use of Logistic Map, which is a first-order discrete-time chaotic system. Node velocities and directions are defined by chaotic output values of Logistics Map. Simulation results include a comparison of node movement trajectories, random speed and direction of mobility nodes under particular control parameters, and an average speed. The proposed approach can be used to imitate real-world user movement pattern through controllable deterministic model.
