Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new concept for information distribution on a ubiquitous network which we call information atmosphere. Information atmosphere consists of two types of data distribution: information vapor is an active user profile that enables distribution of user profile information to other accessible devices in a way similar to how materials evaporate and spread throughout an atmosphere. Information Solidification is the opposite function. Multiple devices sharing common information might have topics of common interest on the various users´ devices. When new devices are connected to the environment, these devices detect suitable information through filtering, and then request it from the other devices on the local ubiquitous network. We describe this concept in detail and discuss an implementation of our concept: atmospheric content.
