Abstract :
This paper took the key parts of a dish-style separator: rotary drum, as the object of study. First of all, Solid Edge software was used to set up 3D solid modeling; secondly, ANSYS software was used to analyze the stress of the rotary drum, and the comparison and analysis of strain and stress on the different speed was done; and finally, the intensity of the rotary drum was evaluated. The results showed that the maximum stress of self-designed rotary drum is far less than the allowable stress, which meets the strength requirements. It improved the design efficiency and quality, providing important theoretical basis for the design of the drum.
