Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a fast method to measure the radiation characteristics of probe-fed circularly polarized antennas operating in Mm-wave bands. The axial ratio of such antennas can be computed in any particular space direction (θ,φ) from four measurement points in a very short time. It can be also given for the whole quasi-3D sphere in 2 ½ hours (2° θ step, 10° φ step). A 7 dBi gain antenna designed on a PCB substrate is fabricated for illustrating this method. Reported results show a really good match between simulation and measurements.
