Abstract :
Large-scale public cloud computing is emerging as an important paradigm for scientific and electromagnetic computing under scenarios where variable latency can be managed at the algorithm level. However, the challenge of securing underlying Intellectual Property (IP) remains. In this paper, we examine whether the operations used to compute Green´s function matrices for integral-equation based electromagnetic simulation can also be used to secure underlying design information. In particular, we examine the possibility of inverting Green´s function data to obtain geometry data and whether that can be circumvented and secured. We therefore propose a possible hybrid computation-encryption scheme for use with Green´s functions on public clouds.
