Abstract
In this paper, a high-gain L-probe antenna array, which also has a broadside radiation pattern, is presented. To demonstrate the design idea, three L probes are placed along the vertex of a V-shaped ground to form a 3×1 antenna array. In this structure, the ground plates also act as a corner reflector. The proposed antenna array is simple and can be easily constructed by only using wires and metal plates. In this paper, the input impedance, antenna gain, and radiation patterns of the proposed antenna are studied.
