Abstract :
An efficient nearfield measurement method for the radiation performance of hand-held mobile telephones considering the influence of the user´s body is proposed. The subject of this paper is a modification of the spherical nearfield-farfield transformation algorithm. It can be applied to data measured on a double cone guaranteeing a closed envelope around the hand-held transceiver under test. Consequently, the whole radiated field can be measured. This allows to make up a power budget from which the part of transmitted power absorbed by the user´s body can be derived.
