Abstract :
Security issues and use of secure systems are currently being examined and scrutinised most closely, and are subject to some considerable visibility in the UK and NATO. Security issues have some major implications upon the design, implementation and operation of C 3I systems. The author describes some of the principal issues concerned with computer security of electronic systems-INFOSEC. The paper examines the impact of these issues upon design and acquisition of C3I systems, formulation of policies, nature of threats and corresponding controls and the formal models of security policies/controls
