Abstract :
We report on measurements for the evaluation of the linearity of DVMs in use in our laboratories, aimed at determining the performances in the /spl plusmn/V range of commercial multimeters as voltage ratio standard. The evaluation of deviations from linearity in the selected range becomes important in measurements of resistance ratios, where voltage limitations may exist. After calibration, uncertainty below 0.1 ppm can be obtained.
