  • Abstract
    A flexible approach to the EM simulation of complex-geometry domains is presented. To this purpose, different kind of mesh-elements and of field-mapping techniques are combined together aiming at an optimal trade-off between computational efficiency and geometrical flexibility. The resulting CAD tool allows for easily simulating structures which would instead require significant effort with the more conventional FDTD algorithm. Both flexibility and efficiency of the proposed method are illustrated by some suimulation examples.
