Meeting assest management and supply chain challenges - using RFID in real world applications

TrenStar is a mobile asset management company who are already making innovative use of RFID in the tracking of mobile assets such as beer kegs through their cyclical use in the brewery to distribution process. Over 3.5 million beer kegs tagged with RFID are tracked at 11 locations throughout the UK. This means TrenStar is responsible for 1.2 million scans per month, which equals to 14.3 total keg cycles per year for our customers. The deployment faced a number of challenges, but TrenStar have emerged as a key player in this field with a broader systems integration arm that has exposed them to a broad range of further HF and UHF RFID applications.
