Abstract :
This paper describes the theory, set-up and procedure for the fatigue testing of railway wheel plates using resonance. The technique, sample preparation and some results are included. The testing reported is being done to compare surface conditions and their effect on fatigue resistance, however this method may be used to compare materials as well
