Abstract :
A shielded high-voltage divider equipped with a temperature control system has been developed for the highly precise measurement of high DC voltages of up to 100 kV. The measuring divider consists of 101 highly precise wire-wound resistors with a total resistance of about 1 G/spl Omega/ and has been set up in a compressed gas vessel under sulphur hexafluoride (SF/sub 6/). The measuring divider is accommodated in an electrode arrangement under potential control, in a homogeneous electrical field, temperature control being ensured by Peltier elements. The nominal scaling factors are 100:1 and 10000:1. The experimental investigation of all resistors and influence quantities as well as the shielded construction and the temperature control system have allowed an uncertainty of 2*10/sup -6/ (k=2) to be achieved.
