Abstract :
A new two-ray model which is suitable for the pole track satellite communication is proposed in this paper. It is based on the two-ray model for land mobile communication. By analysis of this model, the relationship of space attenuation to the satellite elevation was obtained. Simulation results showed that the path gain has rippled due to reflection of the ground. This model can be used in pole track satellite communication while both the straight and reflection path exist.
