Abstract :
We present the results of a model of the Kelvin balance commonly used in four-terminal coaxial bridges. A Kelvin balance is used to combine the low-potential terminals of two impedances into a single potential. The model considers the effect of interconnecting cables, equalisers, and shunt impedances within the measured impedances.
