Abstract :
Magnetic forces can adversely affect precise weighings. A systematic investigation is aimed at verifying a magnetic susceptometer and its attendant theory by measurement on a variety of weakly-magnetised objects of different materials over a range of relative permeabilities between 1.0013 and 1.2, including novel permeability standards.
