Abstract :
The deadband sampling is used in networked control systems to reduce the number of triggered events. This paper discusses the problems by use of deadband sampling in closed control loops. A simplified PID and estimator-based control algorithms dealing with deadband sampling are considered in this paper. The algorithms and different sampling configurations are compared based on extensive simulations with the help of the TrueTime toolbox for Matlab/Simulink.
