  • Abstract
    This paper summarizes the concepts behind gesture recognition systems, both static and dynamic, and explains the various elements that make gesture recognition possible. Different approaches to the gesture recognition problem are evaluated. Recommended approaches based on past research will be summarized. A brief summary of a new system being currently designed by the authors is presented.
