Document retrieval by word meanings

In this investigation, we propose to retrieve documents taking polysemous words into consideration. Compared to conventional technique such as index by term, the new technique provides us with querying by word meanings rather than word forms. Although we need the more complexity, we can reduce dimensionality by means of LSI method. We show some experimental results and discuss the validity of the technique proposed.
