Abstract
The energy loss in superconductors is examined by using "flux-up" procedure developed in the superconducting magnetic levitation (MAGLEV) experiment at the NRLM. The energy loss is estimated by observing a hysteresis in a coil current-magnetic flux curve. This approach is also applicable to general use for evaluating superconductors.
