Abstract :
The requirements for a mixed-mode simulation language in order to simulate real systems and the use of virtual reality graphical techniques to enhance simulation output is presented. SWOOP, an object-oriented mixed-mode simulation language is introduced, and to illustrate its features, two example simulations are shown: an oil tanker terminal and a tunnelling machine. Finally the incorporation of virtual reality into SWOOPVR is shown, and an example simulation of a model toy car factory presented.
