Abstract
In order to study the Siberian environment and the changes, we constructed a new NOAA station at Novosibirsk, Siberian Russia. The received data are compressed and transferred to Tohoku University by a VSAT system. The coverage of the received station is from Far East Russia in the east to Northern Europe in the west. We made the image database for Siberia cooperating with the Computer Center Tohoku University. The Siberian image database is of two areas; Lake Baikal and Novosibirsk. Each area has 1024×1024 pixels for Ch2, Ch4 and pseudo color images of AVHRR. The data are updated almost every day. This database is able to be accessed by everyone via the Internet
