Abstract :
In this paper, a new motor control system where plural inverters are used to control an AC motor is proposed. The distinct feature of this system is improvement of robustness and performance by cooperation control using decentralized inverters. The following good features are expected by using the proposed system. (1) A high voltage motor can be driven by low voltage inverters. (2) More robust system provided by plural inverters. (3) Torque ripple decreases by shifting the phase of PWM signals to control each inverter. (4) Rotor position can be detected by utilizing the voltage of each winding without the effect of the motor current. As several experiments were carried out in order to show these features, the proposal of this control system and these experimental results are shown in this paper.
