Abstract :
In this paper a novel approach will be shown to resolve the overload protection in satellite power subsystems. The proposed method provides an efficient solution with decreased number of components and dimensions. The principles of this system was originally developed by our group for the ESA Rosetta Lander and improved for the European Student Earth Orbiter (ESEO) project. The presented solution is implemented in the Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) of the ESEO micro-satellite in the frame of ESA´s Education Satellite Program.
