Abstract :
Knowledge based on rough set can be utilized to ease the way for categorization on the basis of original data. The paper introduces the rough set theory and its principle algorithms. A Rough Set Toolbox is programmed to analyze the data from the score database of a self-learning system. The concepts such as the upper approximation, lower approximation, indiscernibility relation, reduction, core set, and dependency are analyzed based on the score table. Thus, the relations between condition attributes and decision attributes of the score database are presented.
