Abstract
In this study, we employ a Landsat time series and numerical techniques to study the littoral processes in and around Hatteras Inlet, NC. Multispectral bathymetric mapping methods and a feature tracking routine are used to estimate shoreline evolution and volumetric changes from subareal sand bodies in the inlet vicinity. The information obtained from this analysis is used to examine tidal delta and shoal evolution, shoreline and inlet migration, sand bypassing and littoral drift
