Abstract
We present a WATM MAC protocol that can efficiently share the radio channel from dispersed multimedia terminals to the base station. The new protocol uses the code-division multiple access protocol to reserve the UL link time-slot, so that contention can be avoided. Having offered an uncontested method to make the slot-reservation, high efficiency can be achieved on the UL channel under the TDM mode, and the system capacity can be doubled while supporting ATM ABR users. Simulation results conform our analysis
