Abstract :
A practical computer-aided technique is proposed for tuning max-min fuzzy inference engines. For users who have fuzzy controllers that have already been defined with preliminary membership functions and rules, the technique can be used to give advice about how to tune membership functions to make the fuzzy system approach the desired behavior. The implementation of this technique on a distributed control system shows its effectiveness for industrial applications
