Abstract
Much local government has recently utilized the Geographic Information System (GIS). There are many problems for utilizing the GIS to manage a governmental map since it does not have the latest, accurate geometrical position of houses and public roads. The renewal of the map which requires much time is a serious problem for current GIS users. The purpose of this study is to find areas where the geometrical position of houses and public roads was changed by road repairing, construction, city planning and urban development using the High Resolution Satellite Imageries (HRSI) and Real-time Kinematics Positioning (RTK-GPS). As a result, local government will be able to provide us with some useful geometrical information and use the latest base map
