Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a CAC algorithm using total received power as thresholds when there exist multiple types of services. The ratio of required transmission power that makes the capacity maximum is derived and used for evaluating the cell load and SIR reflected in total received power at base stations. The proposed CAC scheme has two advantages in that it controls the cell load dynamically and guarantees the required SIR (QoS). It can be regarded as a priority based scheme in providing the various right to be served by choosing the appropriate thresholds. In addition, the transmitter removal scheme is adopted that eliminates calls when the system does not meet the required SIR. A multiple threshold scheme is investigated and its performance is compared with that of a single threshold scheme. Simulation results are provided to evaluate the performance
