Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a space-time block code (STBC) coding scheme with three decoding algorithms for the frequency-domain generation of single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) which addresses the issue of orphan symbols. The proposed algorithms only require one time-slot to perform Alamouti coding as compared to the space-time coding and mapping (STCM) Scheme I which uses two time-slots. The performance of the third proposed algorithm approaches that of STCM Scheme I in coded systems.
