Abstract
The authors propose an artificial neural network for solving fuzzy decision-making problems. It is a static network that designs its own interconnections and weights. The decision-making problem type to be solved by the proposed approach is stated. The neural network´s characteristics are presented. It is shown that the approach had advantages with regard to alternative approaches because of the inherent parallelism of neural networks. Some applications are addressed to illustrate the usefulness of the approach
