Abstract :
Project Based Learning (PBL) is a project oriented as well as student centered teaching method which has been widely used in Europe and America. This paper analyzed the necessity, advantages, methods, process and problems. The emphasis is given to PBL so that they can learn to become autonomous, skilled and explore their own potential as well as improve team work spirit and that can be applied to a wide range of students and subject matters. We have conducted in-depth research on the PBL theory and put it into teaching practice in crane control system. Through our practice we conclude PBL play important role in encouraging collaborative and cooperative learning among students and their peers.
