On cooperative learning in college English based on the web platform

With the coming of information era, information process in education featured by internet and multi-media technology becomes the breakthrough of present teaching model reform. Cooperative learning uses internet as a media and takes the form of a learning group to fulfill a learning task together. The paper aims to probe into the connotation of cooperative learning and its basic elements, web-based autonomous learning´s influence on cooperative learning and web-based college English CL´s active role in language acquisition as well. It also illustrates some existing problems in conducting CL based on the internet, thus discovering a brand-new teaching mode characterized by the combination of web, teaching and cooperative learning.
